In the crystallization process, the waste materials are removed before all the minerals. Pure white sugar consists of more than 99% sucrose after the refining process. Through digestion, the sugar is broken down into glucose and fructose and is reabsorbed in the small intestine. Glucose is absolutely necessary for the function of all organs, most importantly, muscles. Magnification = 40x
