SEM: Botany: Thyme (Thymus vulgaris): Leaf veins at the petiole base with leaf hairs. Thyme tea appears to have medicinal qualities, including strengthening the body against digestive troubles, flatulence, anemia, coughing, bronchitis and the flu. Gargling thyme appears to improve neck problems. If applied externally, it has antiseptic qualities and promotes circulation. Thyme is also a popular seasoning herb. Magnification = 170x
