SEM-Brown dog tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The brown dog tick is almost exclusively a parasite of dogs, and has also been implicated as a vector of Rocky Mountain spotted fever and Canine ehrlichiosis. This is probably one of the most widespread of all tick species. Magnification-35x.
