Constellation of Libra

Libra. Artwork of the zodiacal constellation Libra, the scales. The stars are white dots with arepresentation of the scales seen as blue lines. Libra is the seventh sign of the Zodiac. The Sun is in Libra between 23 September and 22 October. It is an inconspicuous constellation with no bright stars. Its brightest, Zubenelgenubi, is at upper center, to the left of the scales' handle. In ancient time the stars of Libra used to represent the claws of Scorpius the scorpion (the following zodiacal sign) and only became represented as a balance during Roman times. North is at left in this image.
