Yoga, the half moon posture


Yoga, a class on the beach practices vardha chandrasana, the half moon posture. The half moon stretches and opens the sides of the body and improves the core body strength. Developed in India, yoga involves postures, breathing exercises, and meditation that act to improve muscle tone, flexibility, strength and stamina. The practice of yoga may also reduce stress and tension, creating a sense of well being and calm.
