Gallbladder and bile ducts


Illustration of the gallbladder and extra hepatic bile ducts. The gallbladder collects and concentrates digestive bile produced by the liver. The gallbladder produces bile after we eat in order to aiding digestion. Bile then travels through narrow tubular channels (bile ducts) into the small intestine where digestion continues.
