Stress test

Male physician checks the heart rate of a patient prior to a stress test. Electrocardiography (ECG) electrodes on the patient's chest monitor the heart while the arm cuff measures blood pressure. A stress test assesses patient fitness by measuring the response of the heart to continuous exercise. It is commonly used to assess recovery following a heart attack.
